Your task: Doritos has a commercial challenge where individuals are asked to submit commercials for their Superbowl advertisement. You and your partners are to create a 30 second commercial for Doritos that could be played during the Superbowl. Examples
Official Rules:
You will have Wednesday and Thursday to set with your groups and come up with your ideas
Come up with 2-3 different commercial ideas
Create a list of questions you would like to ask the focus group
At the end of class Thursday you will pitch your ideas to the class for review (focus group). The class will give you feedback on your ideas. Be sure to have a list of questions that you would like to ask the focus group as well as take feedback that they offer.
Friday will be devoted to finalizing your idea and creating a storyboard.
You will have part of Monday to wrap everything up and put together a video production list.
Finish storyboard - present storyboards to classmates - make changes to storyboard - finalize storyboard - create production list
On Tuesday (2/5) and Wednesday (2/6) you will have time to record and edit your video.

Super Bowl Impact Study -
Congratulations, your parents are sending you to the Super Bowl XLIX.
Step 1:
You will compile a detailed list of expenses that you'll incur traveling to the Super Bowl. Use the Word document below to help compile your list. You must think of every penny you will spend from the time you leave your house until you get home. After collecting all of your information, prepare a detailed spreadsheet that breaks down all of your expenses. Assume that you will leave Saturday morning, stay for 2 nights, and leave on Monday after check out at 11:00 to return home.

From your list of expenses, figure out which will directly impact the local economy in the Glendale. Use a multiplier of 2.47 to figure out your total economic impact on the local economy. Then figure out how many people will be traveling to the Super Bowl and figure out what you believe the consumer economic impact will be based on your calculations.
